Where can I travel?  We regularly take people to go shopping, to get to college or leisure centres, to doctor’s appointments or hospital visits, We also run trips for lunches, to garden centres etc.

Do I have to pay? Anyone who has a Diamond Travel Card can usually travel on our buses with a charge of £6.00 per passenger, per journey, payable to the driver. The £6.00 fare is payable to the driver on the outward leg of your journey.  However, you will need to be a member of 4T&VL to use the services. Membership costs £18.00 per year, payable in April. Also, if your journey takes you over certain boundaries there is a charge.

If we are unable to provide transport on our minibuses, we will still try to get you to your destination by using one of our volunteer drivers using his or her own car. As this service is kindly provided by volunteers you will need to pay 45p per mile to cover their expenses.

If you don’t have a Diamond Travel Card you will need to pay the annual membership fee and charges will apply. Please contact us for more information on these charges.

How do I book? Ring the office 48 hours before you wish to travel. The booking line is open from 9.30am – 4.00pm. Please ring on 01454 250500.

What will I travel in? We have a range of vehicles depending on the journey.

When will I be picked up? We aim to accommodate requested times for pick up and drop up but occasionally these will need to be changed slightly. If all passengers could be ready 15 minutes before their scheduled pick up, it would be appreciated.

Can I bring someone with me on a journey? You  may be eligible to bring a travelling companion to assist you if you have a Bus Pass Plus. This will be shown by a “C” at the end of your bus pass number.  The companion may be able to travel free and does not need to be a member. Please ring the office for more information.

Can you carry wheelchairs, scooters, pushchairs etc? We can carry various items of equipment but please note that wheelchairs and scooters need a risk assessment before we can carry them. To request a risk assessment please call the office.

When will my membership renewal be due? Renewal of memberships are due in April of every year. Membership newsletters and forms are sent out in March.

What if my bus pass number changes? Please ensure that you keep the office updated with any changes to your bus pass details, paying particular attention to the bus pass number and expiry date. This is will ensure that you do not have to pay a higher fare when your bus pass expires.
