Four Towns Funding

Rural to City Link

Ready to roll in the New Year!

In October this year, we were handed the keys to a new Renault Trafic Mini bus. The new  bus is part funded by the European Agriculture fund for rural development. The plan is for this bus to be used on a new Rural to City Link (RC2). This will run in various rurally isolated areas such as Charfield, Cromhall, Falfield, Hill, Oldbury On Severn, Rockhampton, Tortworth, Tytherington. The whole idea behind the service is to support members of the community gain easy access in and out of the City. Enabling people to attend their medical appointments, social events and shopping trips further afield.

We will be using visiting many of the local villages in the above areas with the opportunity of meeting many of you in the local community and given you all the chance to hop aboard and take a look at the new bus we have named WONKY, the launch will take place in 2020.

We look forward to meeting many of you soon. Further information on this new Rural to City Link will be advertised here on our website soon as well as you being able to visit your local Parish and Town Council for further information.

 THORNBURY RADIO

Thornbury Radio are aiming to raise funds in order to allow the station to continue broadcasting.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the station has continued to support the local community, and bring the community together, so they would love your support to enable them to further this key community spirit on the FM airwaves.

As a recognised local business which also supports the local community, they hope that you will be able to help reach their target by donating on their crowdfunding campaign through Aviva which has been launched https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/thornbury-radio. They have 6 weeks to raise as much money as they can! Their target of £2,000 are the running costs incurred annually to keep the station online and broadcasting. Money above and beyond this amount will be put towards the FM fund.

So please help support Thornbury Radio to help them continue supporting the community.
