Our services

Essential travel supported by South Gloucestershire Council for Diamond Travelcard holders, plus paid membership journeys for everyone else.

Door-to-door dial-a-ride

Our most-used service. We collect you from your front door and take you where you need to go — the surgery, the shops, a friend's house — then bring you home again. Drivers help with steps, seatbelts and shopping bags.

Book at least 48 hours ahead where possible.

Medical and hospital journeys

Appointments at Southmead, Thornbury Hospital, dental and optician visits and clinic follow-ups. Let us know if you need the driver to wait or to help you into reception.

Escorts travel free of charge when needed for support.

Shopping services

Regular weekly runs to local supermarkets and town centres. A sociable trip with the same familiar faces, plus time to browse before the return journey.

Ask the office for the timetable in your village.

Social trips and outings

Garden centres, pub lunches, seaside days and seasonal outings organised throughout the year. A great way to get out of the house and meet people.

Places fill quickly — ring us for the current programme.

Group and community transport

Transport for lunch clubs, day centres, churches and community groups, either as a one-off or a regular weekly booking.

Self-drive minibus hire is also available.

Wheelchair accessible vehicles

All of our vehicles have low steps or tail lifts, and every driver is trained in passenger assistance and safeguarding.

Tell us your mobility needs when you book so we can send the right vehicle.

MiDAS

Four Towns and Vale Link Community Transport is an approved provider of Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme training (MiDAS) — a nationally recognised training and assessment scheme for minibus drivers in the voluntary and not-for-profit sectors, administered nationally by the Community Transport Association.

Standard assessment

Covers passenger safety, child passenger safety, defensive driving, accident and emergency procedures and the responsibilities of a minibus driver.

Accessibility module

A compulsory requirement for drivers who intend to carry passengers with mobility difficulties, for example wheelchair users and those who need the wheelchair lift to access the minibus.
